"I do not know the date of his (Sir John Innes') death. He married in 1613, Elizabeth, daughter of James Sinclair of Murkle, Master of Caithness - (Barogill Charters) - by whom he had three sons, 1. Sir Robert Innes of Muirton, M.P. 2. John, a major in the army. 3. Alexander, who as 'son of Sir John Innes,' received a Warrant for £52 on 11 April 1661, in order to pay his father's personal debts.
