"Major Alexander married Margaret Sarah, daughter of Duncan Forbes-Mitchell of Thainston, and died 1830. He had eleven children, but only two survived, Alexander, who died at the age of 15 in 1828 , and Katherine, born 1810, married William McCombie of Easter Skene. She did not die till 1838, and left one son, Thomas, but the estate apparently went to her aunt."
