Janet married David MONYPENNY of Kinkell, 13th of Pitmilly, son of Thomas MONYPENNY 12th of Pitmilly and Margaret WEMYSS.1 (David MONYPENNY of Kinkell, 13th of Pitmilly was born about 1440 and died by 9 December 1494 1.) Marriage Notes: "On 9th December 1494, Sir John (Wemyss of Strathardle) was one of the defenders in an action by Janet Monypenny, spouse of the late David Monypenny of Pitmilly, and George Ramsay, now her spouse, against the members of a jury for serving a brieve of terce obtained by Margaret Wemyss, spouse of the late Thomas Monypenny of Pitmilly. It was decided that the jury had erred in serving the brieve, because there were two competing conjunct infeftments of widows over the lands already. [Acta Auditorum, p. 194.]" Janet next married George RAMSAY by 9 December 1594.1 (George RAMSAY was born about 1440.)
