He gifted two silver communion cups dated 1686. He marr. (1) Elizabeth (died 6th Jan. 1692), daugh. of James Gordon, min. of Rothiemay, and had issue George; Anna; Jean (marr. her cousin, James Chalmer, Professor of Divinity, Marischal College)"
