Hugh married Sarah MAXWELL, daughter of John MAXWELL 4th Lord Herries of Terregles, jure uxoris and Agnes HERRIES suo jure Baroness Herries of Terregles, after April 1619.1 (Sarah MAXWELL was born about 1578, died in 1636 1 and was buried on 29 March 1636 in Holyrood Abbey, Edinburgh, Scotland 1.)


  Marriage Notes:

"She (Sarah Maxwell) survived him (John Fleming), and married, thirdly, Hugh Montgomery, first Viscount Montgomery of the Great Ards in Ireland, and was buried in Holyrood Abbey 29 March 1636."
