Anna married David WEMYSS 2nd Earl of Wemyss, son of Sir John WEMYSS of that Ilk, Earl of Wemyss, Lord Elcho and Methil and Jean GRAY, 4 February 1627(contract was 25 July 1628).¹ (David WEMYSS 2nd Earl of Wemyss was born on 6 September 1610 ¹ and died in July 1679 in Wemyss Castle, Fife, Scotland ¹.). The cause of his death was brief illness.

  Marriage Notes:

"The second Earl of Wemyss married, first, on 4 February 1627, Anna Balfour, daughter of Robert, Lord Balfour of Burleigh, but their contract was not drawn up till 25 July 1628. She died at Wemyss 10 November 1649, and was buried at East Wemyss on 22 day of same month, having had eleven children, of whom only four survived her."
