Elizabeth married Right Reverend Mr Gilbert BURNET Professor of Divinity, Bishop of Salisbury, son of Robert BURNET Advocate, Lord Crimond and Rachel JOHNSTON of Warriston, after 1698.1 (Right Reverend Mr Gilbert BURNET Professor of Divinity, Bishop of Salisbury was born on 18 September 1643 1, baptised on 21 September 1643 in Edinburgh parish, Edinburgh, Scotland,2 3 died on 17 March 1715 1 and was buried in 1715 in Clerkenwell, London, England 1.). The cause of his death was pleurisy.


  Marriage Notes:

"In 1698 the Bishop lost his second wife by small-pox, and in the same year undertook the education of the young Duke of Gloucester. He shortly afterwards married his third wife, Elizabeth (who died 1708), eldest daughter of Sir Richard Blake, Kt, and widow of Robert Berkeley of Spetchley, Co. Worcester. This lady was authoress of 'A Method of Devotion,' edited, after her death, by Dr. Goodwyn, Archbishop of Cashel."
