  Marriage Notes:

"Sir George Erskine of Innerteil. He is said to have been educated by Buchanan along with the King, which is quite probable. He appears as Sir George Erskine of Boquhan 6 April 1610, and had a charter of Innerteil and other lands on 13 September 1611. He was admitted a Senator of the College of Justice 15 March 1617. He died before 2 June 1646, having married Isobel Brown, relict of Sir Patrick Murray of Geanies. By her he had two daughters and coheiresses, Anne, married, in October 1627, to John, third Lord Melville of Monimail, and Margaret, married, first (contract 25 July 1629), to Sir John Mackenzie of Tarbat, and secondly (contract 1 June 1661), to Sir James Foulis of Colinton. She died at a great age after June 1693."
