Janet married Sir John STEWART of Minto, Provost of Glasgow, son of Thomas STEWART ancestor of Stewarts of Minto and Lords Balntyre and Isabella STEWART, by 23 February 1502(1503).¹ (Sir John STEWART of Minto, Provost of Glasgow was born about 1475 and died by October 1512 ¹.)

"Sir John Stewart of Minto. He had a charter to himself and his wife of the barony of Minto and lands of Busby in Lanarkshire 23 February 1502-3. He was knighted between 27 May and 6 June 1508. He was Provost of Glasgow, as his father had been, and though generally said to have been killed at the battle of Flodden, died between July and October 1512, as his son Robert was infeft in some of his lands on or about 26 October of that year. His wife's name was Janet Fleming. They had
