Helen married Archibald or Alexander CUMMING fiar of Coulter, son of Unknown Son 4 CUMMYN of Coulter, possible intervening generation and Unknown.1 (Archibald or Alexander CUMMING fiar of Coulter was born about 1559.)

  Marriage Notes:

He (John Burnet) married (contract at Crathes, dated 30th April, 1603) Helen Wood, widow of Alexander Cumyn of Culter. In 1608 his eldest brother, Alexander Burnet of Leys, had once more acquired Tilliboy (and Kilduthie?) by purchase from Cumyn of Culter; and the same year Leys wadsetted Kilduthie to his brother John for 3000 marks. John Burnet and Helen Wood had a son. Master Alexander, who would seem to be the 'Master Alexander Burnet in Edinburgh' alluded to in one of Duncan's letters."

Helen next married John BURNET, son of Alexander BURNET 11th of Leys and Catherine ARBUTHNOTT, 30 April 1603(contract).1 (John BURNET was born about 1575.)

  Marriage Notes:

"John. It would seem, from an allusion to him in one of Duncan Burnet's letters, that his father's efforts to make him a learned man like his brothers had failed of success. His name occurs in the Privy Council Records in 1593 as cautioner, along with his brother Leys, that Alexander Gordon of Lesmoir should not reset with the Earl of Huntly or the murderers of the Earl of Moray. He married (contract at Crathes, dated 30th April, 1603) Helen Wood, widow of Alexander Cumyn of Culter.
