"Contract, dated at Kinloss, 26th February 1548, between William McIntoische [McIntosh] of Dunnachtane [Dunachton], Captain of the Clanquhattane [Clan Chattan], on the one part, and his cousin, Lachlan Malcolmsone [Malcolmson], on the other"

an end to threat and suspicion is agreed by, among others,

"Robert Dunbar of Durris, and James Dunbar of Tarbart [Tarbert], and their heirs, in his lands of Glenroye [Glen Roy] in Lochabir [Lochaber] and the barony of Moye [Moy] in the shire of Innernes [Inverness]. And because the said Lachlan has no lands of his own, his friends foresaid, who have laboured for this agreement, are to infeft the said William McIntosche [McIntosh] in like manner, viz. George Munro, in the lands of Myltown [Miltown] and Dalkarty [Davochgartie] in Ross, James Dunbar in his lands of Tarbart, and Robert Dunbar in his lands of Durris [Dores] (on the terms mentioned in the other contract of this date)........."

"Contract of marriage between David Dunbar, son and apperand heir of Robert Dunbar of Durris, and Cristein Lermonth his spous, and Janet Ros, daughter of Hugh Ros of Kilravock ; Durris to infeft them in the west quarter of Grangegreyn, callit the boggis, Kilravock to pay the sum of 650 merks as tochir, and to bear the expense of procuring a dispensation 'upon all greis of consanguite or affinite.' At Grangehill, 15 January 1559. Witnesses, Alexander Falconar of Halkartoun, Alexander Dumbar of Conye, Angus Ros and Andro Ros, burgesses of Nairn, Arthur Urquhart, Patrik Ros, Anthone Jonson, and Sir David Cunningham, notary public."
