Agnes married Thomas HAMILTON 4th of Raploch, son of James HAMILTON 3rd of Raploch and Isobel WEIR.1 2 (Thomas HAMILTON 4th of Raploch was born about 1498.)

  Marriage Notes:

"Thomas Hamilton of Raploch, who had a charter, in 1540, of the lands of St Leonards' and Spittleshiells, in the co. of Lanark. He married Agnes, daughter of Robert Douglas of Lochleven, by whom he had no issue. He was succeeded by his brother, Archibald ...."

from Memoirs of House of Hamilton

"Agnes, married to Thomas Hamilton of Raploch ... "

from Scots Peerage (vol 6)

Note:

Scots Peerage states that Agnes was the daughter of the marriage between the first Sir Robert Douglas of Lochleven and his first wife, Elizabeth Boswell,

"
contract 10 April 1445"; "By his first wife only he had issue." (page 367).

Her younger sister, Margaret is said to have married in 1484.

It is not impossible for Agnes, as so described, to have been the wife of Thomas Hamilton of Raploch, but she would have to have been a very elderly bride indeed.

The 2nd Sir Robert Douglas of Lochleven also had a daughter, Margaret, who married "
before 12 August 1516". This Sir Robert's first marriage was well before 1500, and his second marriage was in January 1499-1500. The text is not clear about which children were offspring of which wife, but Margaret Hay, his second wife, who had been married twice before, would have been past childbearing.

This latter period, in the lifetime of the second Sir Robert Douglas, is more time-consistent, however, for the birth and marriage of the wife of Thomas Hamilton of Raploch.
