General Notes: "On the 25th of June 1470, Sir Alexander Fraser of Philorth, and William Meldrum of Fyvie, became bound, as securities, before Alexander Irvine of Drum, Sheriff- depute of Aberdeen, that the Provost, Bailies, Council, and community of Aberdeen, and the tenants of their freedom, should be unharmed by Thomas Fraser of Stonywood, and Andrew Fraser, his son and heir, and their people." Andrew married Muriel SUTHERLAND, daughter of Sir Alexander SUTHERLAND 3rd of Duffus and Muriel CHISHOLM. (Muriel SUTHERLAND was born about 1437.) Marriage Notes: "5. Muriel Sutherland, wife of Alexander Seton of Meldrum, was, it is said, another daughter. She was also the wife of Andrew Fraser of Stanywood." |
