"On the 25th of June 1470, Sir Alexander Fraser of Philorth, and William Meldrum of Fyvie, became bound, as securities, before Alexander Irvine of Drum, Sheriff- depute of Aberdeen, that the Provost, Bailies, Council, and community of Aberdeen, and the tenants of their freedom, should be unharmed by Thomas Fraser of Stonywood, and Andrew Fraser, his son and heir, and their people."

Andrew married Muriel SUTHERLAND, daughter of Sir Alexander SUTHERLAND 3rd of Duffus and Muriel CHISHOLM. (Muriel SUTHERLAND was born about 1440.)


  Marriage Notes:

"Andrew Fraser of Stoneywood, who was infeft in Stanewod and Muchall as his father's heir in 1476. He had a Crown charter of lands in the barony of Stanywood to him and Muriel Sutherland his spouse on 21 November 1501, and was knighted before 16 April 1504. He had a new royal charter of Stanywood and Muichellis (in which he seems not to have been styled knight) 30 December 1503. He died on or about 1 June 1505.
