Margaret married Alexander SETON Earl of Dunfermline, Chancellor of Scotland, son of George SETON 7th of that Ilk, 5th Lord Seton and Isabel HAMILTON, in 1607.1 (Alexander SETON Earl of Dunfermline, Chancellor of Scotland was born in 1555,1 died on 16 June 1622 in Pinkie, Musselburgh, East Lothian, Scotland 1 and was buried on 9 July 1622 in Dalgety, Fife, Scotland 1.)

Margaret next married James LIVINGSTON Lord Almond. Earl of Callendar, son of Alexander LIVINGSTON Earl of Linlithgow and Helenor HAY, in 1633.1 (James LIVINGSTON Lord Almond. Earl of Callendar was born about 1589.)

"Margaret Hay, daughter of James, seventh Lord Hay of Yester .... was married, secondly, in 1633, to James, Lord Almond, afterwards first Earl of Callander, and was buried, 20 January 1659, with her first husband at Dalgetty."
