General Notes: Included in the Gordon Papers is a Memorandum by John Gordon of Letterfourie-1711 written on the 13 October 1711 when he was 84 years old on the subject of the meeting at Finlarg castle in 1651. One of the witnesses to the memorandum was John Stuart, (also Steuart), of Bogs. (Miscellany of the Spalding Club) 3 John married Euphemia GORDON, daughter of Alexander GORDON of Auchindachy and Elizabeth LESLIE.1 (Euphemia GORDON was born about 1634.) Marriage Notes: "3. Euphemia, who married John Stuart of Bogs in Rathven parish (brother of Andrew Stuart of Tanachie), and had issue. On June 16, 1675, she and her husband had sasine on Clochmacreich (Banff Sasines)."
