LUNDY, Andrew of Pitlochy 1 2
User ID: M606. General Notes: "The Barony of Balgonie is located within the Parish of Markinch, Fife. The Lundie family association with Balgonie seems to date from 1454, when Andrew Lundy of Pitlochy, Sheriff of Fife, was given ward of Balgony, and received payments on behalf of the heirs of John Sibbald of Balgony. The Barony of Balgonie then came into the Lundie, Lundy, Lundin family through the marriage of Robert Lundy (son of Andrew Lundy of Pitlochy) to Elizabeth Sibbald, the heiress of Sibbald of Balgonie. They were married by 1471." Andrew married. |
