A record in the parish register of Pettinain, possibly a catch-up list of children baptised elsewhere, names in a list three Donaldson children with their birth dates: Alexander, Nathaniel and Margaret.
Ancestry also has a record of Margaret's birth, not on 16 December 1790 as the parish register states, but one week later, on 23 December in Edinburgh parish. This may have been a baptism, but the matter is unclear:
