"(251) Archibald Hamilton of Raploch, third son of James Hamilton (No. 244). He married, first, Marion Ogilvie, who died s.p. He married, second, Margaret, daughter of John Hamilton of Newton, and had two daughters. He had also two natural sons :

(a) Archibald Hamilton, legitimated 1553.

(b) Hans (No. 252).

He was succeeded in Raploch by his brother, Gavin (No. 298)."
