"George, 7th of Corse, served heir to his father, June 20th 1649, married Elizabeth Kennedy of Kermucks , and had a son, William, who died young, and had three daughters, Elizabeth, Mary and Henrietta

George was the last laird of the original family of Corse, as he sold part of the estate in 1656 to Duguid of Auchinhove, and the remainder in 1670 to his second cousin, Sir John Forbes of Craigievar."
