Robert married Christian HENRY, daughter of William HENDRY and Jean WALKER. (Christian HENRY was baptised on 10 April 1808 in New Monkland parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland 2 and died on 15 December 1889 in 36 North Bridge Street, Airdrie, Lanarkshire, Scotland 1.). The cause of her death was general debility.
