Peter married Mary PACKMAN, daughter of George PACKMAN and Margaret BREMNER, on 13 May 1862 in 2 Ann Street, Edinburgh, Scotland. (Mary PACKMAN was born on 5 July 1840 in Lochaber, Moray, Scotland and died after 2 December 1898 1.)


  Marriage Notes:

The marriage took place after banns according to the forms of the Church of Scotland, James Millar Garrison Chaplain at Edinburgh Castle officiating. James Moran (?) and Robert Travers were witnesses.

Peter Russell was was 34 year old bachelor who was a sergeant in the 26th Cameronians, resident at Edinburgh Castle. His father was deceased.

Mary Jackman was 24 years old, single, and worked as a domestic servant. She lived at 14 Brandon Street Edinburgh. Her mother was deceased.

The marriage was registered at Edinburgh on 14 May 1862. 2
