  Marriage Notes:

"(107) John Hamilton, second natural son of James, first Lord Hamilton (No. 7), by Janet Calderwood. On 4th February 1473-74 his father granted him the lands of Broomhill and Silvertonhill, with remainder to his brothers, Patrick and David. He is named in charter of entail 17th January 1512-13, and was legitimated 20th January 1512-13. He died before 1540. He married, first, Janet Hamilton, thought to be daughter of Robert Hamilton of Preston, and had : -
