Thomas married Janet GORDON, daughter of John GORDON 11th Earl of Sutherland,'the Good Earl John' and Helenor STEWART, after 1576.1 2 (Janet GORDON was born about 1553 and died in 1584 2.)

Mr. Thomas (Gordon). Died between 10 June 1584, when the Bishop of Moray was delivered to himself and his nephew the Earl to be kept in surety till required, and 13 December 1585, when he is mentioned as deceased in an order for the Bishop's release. He is said to have married Janet Gordon, second daughter of John, tenth Earl of Sutherland, and widow of Alexander Innes of that Ilk. She died January 1584, and was buried in the cathedral church of Elgin."

"He (Alexander Innes) married Janet, second daughter of John, Earl of Sutherland : she survived him, and is said to have married, secondly, Thomas Gordon, son of George, fourth Earl of Huntly. She died January 1584, leaving no lawful male issue."
