Jean married Hugh ROSE 15th of Kilravock, Sheriff of Ross, son of Hugh ROSE 14th of Kilravock and Margaret INNES, in 1697.1 (Hugh ROSE 15th of Kilravock, Sheriff of Ross was born in 1663,3 died on 23 January 1732 1 and was buried in 1732 in St Mary's Chapel, Geddes, Nairn, Scotland 1.)

"He (Hugh Rose) was five times married ; 1st, with Margaret, daughter of Sir Hugh Campbell of Calder, by whom he had a son Hugh, and two daughters - Henrietta, married to Sir John MacKenzie of Coul, and Mary, to Duncan Forbes of Culloden, afterwards Lord President; 2nd, Joan, only child of Mr.James Fraser of Brae (Brea), and had by her a son, James of Brae [She died in 1699]"

"The Rev. James Fraser, in July, 1672, married Miss Gray, with issue

1. Jean, who, in 1698, married, as his second wife, Hugh Rose, fifteenth Baron of Kilravock, with surviving issue one son, James Rose, who succeeded to the lands of Brea. He was Commissary of Inverness, and Sheriff-Substitute of of the county of Nairn. He married Margaret, daughter of John Rose of Braidley. Jean Fraser of Brea died in 1699."
