"Sir John Turing, 3rd Bart., born about 1650, son of Henry T. of Savoch and Janet Seton (see Note below); educated at King's College, Aberdeen; M.A. (1679);succeeded his cousin as 3rd Bart, in 1682; adm. to Cummertrees about 1689; deserted his charge at the Revolution; intruded at Insch in 1692; dem. before 12th Oct. 1701; called to this charge 22nd Jan., and adm. 16th March 1703; died Jan. 1733. He marr. 24th Dec. 1700, Jean, daugh. of John Dunbar, min. of Forglen, and had issue Alexander, bapt. 9th Aug. 1702, min. of Oyne; John, surgeon, London, bapt. 23rd Jan. 1704, died before 1730; Jean, bapt. 8th June 1707; Anne, bapt. 29th Aug. 1708 (marr.
