"William (Forbes), sometime of Pittallachie, afterwards of Kinaldie, was served heir to his grandfather, Patrick, July 15th, 1613, but the property was shortly afterwards disposed of to Alexander Forbes of Boyndlie.

He married first a daughter o[ Troup of Balnacraig, and had by her two sons, Peter and John, who went abroad, and secondly a daughter of Mr. William Douglas, minister of Aboyne. William Forbes died at Kinaldie September 9th, 1672.
