Patrick married Barbara CUMMING, daughter of William CUMING of Lochtervandich, then of Auchry and Pitullie and Jeane SANDILANDS.1 (Barbara CUMMING was born about 1683.)

Eldest (see Note below) son of Patrick Sandilands of Cotton (and grandson of James Sandilands, advocate (1649)), and Margaret Ord, his wife. M.A., Mar. Coll., 8th June, 1699.
