  General Notes:

It was from this man and his family that the business of Barclays Bank came. The Barclays had a linen drapery in Cheapside, and through expansion became major exporters to North America and the West Indies. Both David, the father, and James, son of his first wife, married daughters of the banker John Freame, and joined the bank after marriage. 1

David married Ann TAYLOR, daughter of James TAYLOR and Unknown, in 1707.1 (Ann TAYLOR was born about 1685 and died about 1722.)

David next married Priscilla FREAME, daughter of John FREAME and Unknown. (Priscilla FREAME was born about 1700.)
