"John Grant McCondachie (called also M'Donachie), Alias Beg, in Gartinbeg. Was cautioner for John Grant of Freuchie in 1599, and witness to a contract betwixt Cameron of Lochiel and Macallan of Lundie in 1606. In 1615 he is mentioned as one of the friends of the Laird of Grant convicted of resetting the Macgregors, and for whom the Laird became security. He married Agnes Cumming. They are mentioned in the disposition of Gartinbeg to their son Sueton as having received a wadset of Gartinbeg from Sir John Grant of Freuchie."
