Ludovick married Margaret INNES, daughter of Sir James INNES of Orton, 5th Baronet of Balvenie and Margaret FRASER, on 12 July 1742 in Speymouth parish, Moray, Scotland.1 2 (Margaret INNES was baptised on 25 January 1704 in Rothes parish, Moray, Scotland 3 and died on 12 March 1782 in Dalvey House, Forres, Moray, Scotland 1.)

"SIR LUDOVICK GRANT of Dalvey, fourth Baronet
Formerly of Grangegreen, of which he had a charter of resignation 3d July 1755. He was served heir-general to his brother in 1773, and heir special in Dalvey and other lands in 1774. He was appointed a Commissioner of Supply for Forres in 1774. He was also sometime Member of Parliament for the burghs of Inverness, Forres, Nairn, and Fortrose. He married Margaret, daughter of Sir James Innes, Baronet, of Balvenie. She died at Dalvey House on 12th March 1782. Sir Ludovick died at Moyhall, 17th September 1790."
