James married Isobel GORDON, daughter of James GORDON in Auld Merdrum, Rhynie parish, progenitor of Gordons of the Knoll and Helen GRANT of Speyside.1 (Isobel GORDON was born between 1741 and 1751 and died on 27 May 1828 1.)
