Margaret married Archibald CAMPBELL 8th Earl, then Marquess of Argyll, son of Archibald CAMPBELL 7th Earl of Argyll and Agnes DOUGLAS, about 7 August 1626.¹ (Archibald CAMPBELL 8th Earl, then Marquess of Argyll was born in 1607 in Inverary, Argyll, Scotland ¹ and died on 27 May 1661 in Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland ¹.). The cause of his death was beheading.

Note:

Margaret Douglas was not the daughter of the second Earl of Morton but of the seventh. This is probably simply a typographical error. Archibald's mother was Margaret's great-aunt. ¹
