  General Notes:

According to the 1881 census for Newhills, Aberdeenshire, James and his family were living then at Livingstonia Cottage, Auchmull. He was a worker in a meal mill.

In 1885 when his son David was born, the birth certificate recorded James Cameron as a journeyman miller.

James Cameron, son in law of Mary Hardie, gave notice of her death before the registrar, John Kellas, at Inverurie on 10 December 1910. 4


James married Ann HARDIE, daughter of William HARDIE Farmer, and Fiddler and Mary STRACHEN, on 11 December 1875 in Methlick parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1 2 (Ann HARDIE was born in 1850 in Methlick parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland,3 died on 2 June 1925 in Inverurie parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland 3 5 and was buried in 1925 in Inverurie Bass Cemetery, Aberdeenshire, Scotland 3.)
