Note: The parent noted for Jealls Forbes is not easy to pinpoint. 'William' is a common name among Monymusk Forbes, so that may be an excusable error. 'Asloun' was linked to the Johnstons, and Duncan Forbes of Letheny purchased land there. His son, John, was known as 'of Asloun'. ¹
