  General Notes:

"The Mackenzie Baronetcy, of Coul in the County of Ross, was created in the Baronetage of Nova Scotia on 16 October 1673 for Kenneth Mackenzie. His father Alexander Mackenzie of Coul was the illegitimate son of Colin Cam Mackenzie, 11th of Kintail, and half-brother of Kenneth Mackenzie, 1st Lord Mackenzie of Kintail, ancestor of the Earls of Seaforth, and of Sir Roderick Mackenzie, ancestor of the Earls of Cromarty. "

from The Mackenzie Baronetcy 4

Noted events in his life were:

1. Appointed: Burgess, 3 June 1634, of Dundee, Scotland. 5

Kenneth married Jean CHISHOLM, daughter of Alexander CHISHOLM 17th of that Ilk, and of Comar and Daughter MACKENZIE.1 (Jean CHISHOLM was born about 1640.)

  Marriage Notes:

"He (Kenneth Mackenzie) married, first, Jean, eldest daughter of Alexander Chisholm, XIX. (see Note below) of Chisholm, with issue"

from History of the Mackenzies

Note:

History of the Chisholms also names Alexander, the 19th Chisholm, as the father of Jean, but Jean was Sir Kenneth's first wife and the dating for subsequent generations does not appear to allow this

Jean and Alexander, younger, 19th of Chisholm seem to be of the same generation, making her his sister rather than his daughter.
