Marjory married Thomas FORBES 2nd of Auchreddie, son of Walter FORBES 1st of Auchreddie and Daughter MELDRUM 'of Auchinhove', after 21 October 1628(sasine).1 (Thomas FORBES 2nd of Auchreddie was born about 1605.)

"7. Marjorie Gordon married, according to the Theodore Gordon MS., 'Thomas Forbes of Achreydie.' On Oct. 21, 1628, sasine was granted to Thomas Forbes, son to Mr Walter Forbes of Meikle Auchrydie and Marjorie Gordon, his future spouse, on the lands of Auchmaldy, Bedleham, and Meikle Auchrydie ('Aberdeen Weekly Journal,' Jan. 31, 1913). Thomas Gordon (see Note below) of Meikle Auchredie figures in a grain action of 1643 (Littlejohn's 'Sheriff Court' iii., 17). She had two sons- William and George (Lumsden's 'Forbes Family')."

"Thomas (Forbes) of Auchredie, whose wife was Marjory Gordon of Nethermuir, had sasine on June 25th, 1657, and the same year granted it to his eldest lawful son, Alexander, and Alexander's wife, Christian Irvine of Drum. He had four daughters, Elizabeth, Isabel, Thomasina, and Jean, to whom he granted sasines, as well as to his wife, in 1659. Jean married Alexander Forbes, who bought Torhendry. He had also three younger sons. (2 ) Patrick in Bedlan, who married Elizabeth Arbuthnot of Scotsmill. (3) William in Rora, married a daughter of Martin of Clerkhills, and had Thomas, advocate, and Robert, in Mill of Ythsie. (4) George in Aquhanacy and Midmill of Cruden, who married Jean Smith of Smiddieburn, Fyvie, and had two sons, Thomas and Robert, and four daughters."
