"In 1465 Gilbert Kennedy of Bargany enters into an indenture with the first Lord Kennedy, and John Kennedy, Lord Kennedy's eldest son, that David Kennedy, son and apparent heir of John Kennedy, shall marry Marion, daughter of the said Gilbert Kennedy ; and that Thomas Kennedy, son and apparent heir of Gilbert Kennedy, shall marry Catharine, daughter of John Kennedy, and sister of David Kennedy."

It is likely that this daughter Marion died before the proposed marriage with David Kennedy could take place, since, according to The Scots Peerage, volume two, his two wives were Agnes Borthwick and Margaret Boyd. The marriage of Thomas and Catharine did take place. 1 2
