I have looked through the kirk session records for Strathdon on your behalf, and was able to find an entry pertaining to the baptism of James Forbes in a register of accounts, baptisms and marriages covering the years 1752 to 1767 (NRS catalogue ref. CH2/343/2 p. 141)."

Hary married Jane McHARDY, daughter of James McHARDY and Margaret FARQUHARSON, in 1788.¹ (Jane McHARDY was born about 1766.)
