Daughter married Thomas GORDON of Seggyden, Burgesss of Aberdeen, son of James GORDON 1st of Lesmoir and Margaret OGILVY 'Lady Gartlie'.1 (Thomas GORDON of Seggyden, Burgesss of Aberdeen was born about 1549 and died in 1594 in Battle of Glenlivet, Aberdeenshire, Scotland 1.). The cause of his death was slain in battle.

"The 1600 Gordon MS. says that Thomas of Seggyden married 'a gentlewoman called Strachan, heretrix of Cowdein, who bare him sundrie sones and daughters.' "
