Memorial for John Davidson, W.S., with reference to the lands of Cairness, vested in James Barclay, merchant in Jamaica, who died there on 4 January 1765, and which lands descend to his three sisters, viz., Mary, wife of John Gordon of Buthlaw, advocate, Anne, wife of Captain John Thomson, Master of a ship trading between London and Jamaica, and Jean, relict of deceased Thomas Gordon, merchant in Aberdeen, and also concerning a Decreet of Adjudication of said lands, dated 5 December 1764, obtained by Jean Gordon, daughter of deceased Charles Gordon of Buthlaw, for herself and as assignee of Susanna, Elizabeth and Mary Gordon, her sisters, against said James Barclay."
