Probably Patrick, of Aberlour, who d. there 1807, Jul. 19, in his 67th year, and who m. 1778, Oct. 2, - dau. of John Arnott, of Faffarty, and widow of Capt. Dougal."

Note 1:
The name of
'John Arrat' appears in A List of Persons Concerned in the Rebellion.

His designation is 'Gentleman' in 'Faffirty' in the parish of 'Glammis' in the county of Angus.

He 'Was Lieut in the Rebel Army & burnt the Books & papers in the Custom ho. at Montrose'. All that was known of him as a result was that he 'fled' ie escaped.

Note 2:
There was a James Arrat of Faffarty, Glamis, who was an Ensign in Ogilvy's Regiment in the 1745 Jacobite campaign.
