Catherine married John KEITH apparent of Clackriach, son of Alexander KEITH of Clackriach and Unknown.¹ (John KEITH apparent of Clackriach was born about 1550 and died on 2 December 1587 in Justice Port, Aberdeen, Scotland ^{1 2}.). The cause of his death was killing by William Gordon 5th of Gight.

"Catherine (Gordon) married John Keith of Clachriach (Great Seal), who was murdered, December 2, 1589, at the Justice Port, Aberdeen, by her brother, William. This led to a feud between the Gordons and the Keiths. She was probably the mother of William Keith (brother of George Keith of Clachriach), who (with her nephew, John Gordon of Ardlogie) waged a deadly war on Leask of that ilk, 1616."
