"(v.) Louisa Gordon (by the first marriage) died May 31, 1904. She married George Gordon (1832-1908), land surveyor, Tullochallum, Mortlach, afterwards of Edinburgh. He belonged to the Gordons in Achnarrow, Inveravon, who had been connected with that farm for generations. About the end of the seventeenth century they moved to the farm of Upper Clochan in the Enzie. Mr Gordon's grandfather, John, succeeded a maternal uncle in the farm of Tullochallum in Mortlach in
1771, where he also had the hill grazings of Culraggie, which extended to the march with Inchnacape at the water-shed between Glenlivet and Tomintoul." 3


Louisa married George GORDON in Tullochallum, Mortlach Parish, son of Alexander GORDON Land Surveyor and Farmer, Tullochallum and Marjory COWIE, on 25 June 1861 in Banff, Banffshire, Scotland.1 (George GORDON in Tullochallum, Mortlach Parish was born on 22 April 1832 1 2, baptised on 23 April 1832 in Mortlach parish, Banffshire, Scotland 2 and died in 1908 3.)


  Marriage Notes:

The couple were married, after banns, according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church by James Kyle. H. Reid and James Gordon were witnesses.

George Gordon was a land surveyor and farmer. He was a bachelor of 29 years of age, resident at Tullochallum in the parish of Mortlach. His mother was deceased.

Louisa Gordon was a 21 year old spinster resident in Banff, Banffshire. Her mother was deceased.

The marriage was registered on 27 June 1861 at banff, Robert Leask signing as registrar. 1
