Another name for James was GORDON, James of Lastis.2 General Notes: "The fact that James Gordon of Lasts and John Gordon of Lasts both married ladies of the name of Coutts might suggest that the Balbithan MS had made a mistake in calling John by the name of James, but as we have seen, a James undoubtedly was of Lasts in the year 1584." 1 James married COUTTS, daughter of Donald COUTTS of Kinarnie and Unknown.
