"Thomas Urquhart of Burdsyards, born about 1660, son of John U. of Burdsyards, Forres, to whom he
was served heir 27th Feb. 1675; educated at King's College, Aberdeen, 1668-72; passed trials before the Presb. and recommended to the bishop for licence 7th March 1683 ; pres. by Alexander Rose, Bishop of Moray, before 14th Dec. 1687; coll. (at Elgin) 29th Dec. same year; adm. 11th Jan. 1688; deserted his charge in 1699, and died about 1706. He marr. Fenella Dunbar, and had issue Robert of Burdsyairds. [Shaw's Hist., iii., 412 ;
