Mary Anne O'Neill's parentage here is inferred. If not a sister she may be a cousin. There appear to be very close connections between the McConaghy/O'Neill/McAlindon families, witness the baptismal sponsors for the children of Michael and Margaret McConaghy. No Christian name was noted for Mary Anne's father in her marriage record, and, as with Margaret, no baptismal record has yet been found. Her age is estimated from the birth year of her last child, and again as with Margaret, the year may be out by two or three years either way.
