"Euphemia Danbar of Cunmock, the eldest daughter, married Sir James Dunbar, son and heir of Sir Alexander Dunbar of Westfield. They had a charter from James II., dated 23d June, 1474. The lands and barony of Cumnock, with the patronage of the Kirk, fell to the share of Euphemia."
