"Andrew was married to Margaret Scrymgeour. They had a charter under the great seal dated 30th June 1542."

According to the above website, Andrew and Margaret had a total of eight sons and two daughters. Taking this into consideration, and if Andrew did die in 1547 at Pinkie, then the charter of 1542 cannot be taken as an indication of their date of marriage. 1
