"He (William Hay 6th Laird of Delgaty and Ardendraught) married Elizabeth Barclay, who survived him and married secondly, John Innes of Benwall, who died before 1676, when she was married to George Kerr (A. & Decs, lxiii. f. 274). Her marriage to Innes of Benwall appears from the interests which she and the Countess of Atholl had as 'ladies having profit out of Delgaty' (Erroll Charters. No. 485). John Innes of Benwall and of Kinkell were presumably (?) the same (Erroll Charters, 642)."
