FAMILY LINE

The family line of the Sibbalds appears to be fraught with contradictions in the secondary accounts and sources. This version should be treated with caution. One of the principal difficulties is in the dating of the accounts give, for example in Burke's Peerage, where some of the 'sons' and 'daughters' can only work chronologically if they were, in fact, siblings. By not using many dates, the line works perfectly!
